Nike Start Slapping Motivational Fan Tweets On Everything At England HQ, Including The Pitch At St. George’s Park

To coincide with the launch of their new England kits (here’s the home, here’s the away), Nike have been getting a bit bolshy around the place and started whacking great big motivational Tweets from fans on everything to help gee up the players as they usher in a new era – including a mahoosive message slapped right across the training pitch at St. George’s Park…

And it’s not like the England players are able to escape the goading once they’re done training either, oh no – for Nike have even daubed their slogans on the baize of the pool table that’s due to be placed in the player’s lounge, as Danny Welbeck and Glen Johnson soon found out…

All well and good – and a nice way to interact with the fans – but we suspect this “new era” of the England pantheon may turn out to be suspiciously similar to the last one once the small matter of “actually playing football” is added into the equation.
