Cristiano Ronaldo Freekick Breaks Young Bournemouth Fan’s Wrist, Club Donate Signed Shirt To Ease Pain (Video)

We can think of several things we’d rather do than get in the way of a wayward Cristiano Ronaldo tomahawk (like lick cat piss of a thistle, for example) but that’s unfortunately just what happened to 11-year-old Bournemouth fan Charlie Silverwood on Sunday afternoon, when Ronaldo’s exocet freekick rocketed over the bar and clattered the wee nipper on the arm in the 6th minute of the game – breaking his wrist in two places…

Charlie stayed for the remaining 84 minutes of the game before going to hospital for an x-ray, where it was confirmed that Ronaldo’s shonky free-kick has caused a double fracture. He then underwent a minor operation and was put in plaster – with the bad news being that he’s now going to be in a cast for the entire six-week school holidays!

To ease his pain, Bournemouth gave Charlie a signed Real Madrid shirt and a football signed by all the Cherries players, with Madrid also declaring that they are planning to send him a special memento too – his very own pair of Real Madrid scissors to take the bandage off with…
