Adidas Release Cracking Viral Charting Every Official World Cup Football From 1970-2014 In Space Of Six Seconds (Video)

By Chris Wright

As previously mentioned this morning, Adidas have officially unveiled their new ‘Brazuca’ matchball for the 2014 Brazil World Cup this morning and, as well as giving away a free one to every Brazilian baby born today, they’ve also released this corking Vine video which charts every single World Cup matchball they’ve produced┬ásince they first landed the gig as official suppliers at Mexico ’70, and all in the space of six seconds…

Great stuff, though for those wishing to delve a little further back in time, we happened to stumble across a brilliant Imgur account earlier which features some great photos of every single official World Cup matchball dating as far back as the inaugural tournament in Uruguay in 1930.

Here it is, and it’s well worth a few minutes of your time.

The 1994 and 2002 balls hold special memories…nice designs.

The Imgur link is an out-take from a NY Times article a couple of years ago, here is the original article: http://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2010/06/06/magazine/20100606-world-cup-balls.html
