Looking like members of a colour-blind Showaddywaddy tribute band, West Brom pair Shane Long and Boaz Myhill wandered away from the rest of the group at the club’s Christmas do (we sincerely hope it was a ‘bad suits’ dress code) and went a-busking in the Temple Bar area of Dublin on Sunday night – commandeering a guitar and crooning their way through four-chord busker standard ‘Wonderwall’ while a small crowd gathered to listen and take photographic proof of a story no-one in the office would believe on Monday morning…

Oh, we’re so on our way back to the Championship, if you ask me…

You can’t be busking around another country (even if it’s the one you call home) while your team it’s struggling to get a goddamn point, I’d say… And specially with the worst suits I’ve seen this side of the 80’s…

I have to disagree. I’d say a good knees-up far away from the training ground would be the perfect tonic to lift the spirits and bond the team after a terrible week, clear their heads ahead of the next training session.

As much as we’ve had a really bad run of results of late, I’ll stay optimistic that something will click. Hopefully sooner rather that later…
