A couple of years ago, The Eleven Forty Company launched the Opus luxury football table, a bespoke work of art that cost a cool £40,000 – yes, forty grand. Their first custom-built table featured players sculpted to look exactly like real-life football idols, including Eric Cantona, Diego Maradona, Edgar Davids and Carlos Valderrama.
Anyways, they’ve just made this brilliant limited-edition (just 20 tables have been made) Good vs Evil table for 20ltd.com. Each team features famous good and bad characters from history, including Mary Poppins, Santa Claus, Pol Pot and Adolf Hitler. The hand-painted figurines are set into a hand-crafted maple cabinet which retails at £14,500. Some 400 man-hours go into making each table. Perfect for philosophising, football-loving bachelors with more cash than sense. Click below to see how the Good vs Evil XIs line up…
Even a central defence of Sir Bobby Moore and Sir Thomas More couldn’t stop a malevolent three=pronged attack featuring Lucifer, Caligula and Vlad the Impaler. I pick the Evil XI to win, 666-0.
