Football boots fit for a Khaleesi

Taking a leaf out of Adidas/Yohji Yamamoto’s Eastern-mythology-inspired sketchbook, Puma have cooked up these new evoSPEED 1.3 Graphic boots which, according to the accompanying blurb, take their inspiration from the Japanese dragon, “a traditional symbol for speed, power, wisdom and agility”.

Yeah, we think we can see it.

Rather amusingly, the boots are apparently styled in white, sea pine blue and “HIGH RISK RED” – meaning they should only really be handled by professionals; professionals like Sergio Aguero, Marco Reus, Radamel Falcao, Antoine Griezmann, Marco Verratti and Santi Cazorla, who will all be wearing these things come the weekend.

They’re a bit bonkers really, but we kind of like them all the same…
