Having teased the release yesterday with a helping hand from the cutest cast of models you’re ever likely to see, Everton have now rolled out their new Umbro kits for 2015/16 in earnest.

Sadly, the models this time round are a lot less adorable…

Nice and smart, though we’re having trouble distinguishing it in our minds from the last two or three (or five) Everton home kits.

Well, if it ain’t broke…etc, etc.

According to the blurb, the white v-neck collar is inspired by “iconic Everton home shirts of the past” as well as giving the shirt a unique visual for the season ahead.

On the back, the shirt carries a ‘NSNO’ sign off on the neck, a subtle reference to the club’s famous ‘Nil Satis Nisi Optimum’ (Nothing But The Best Is Good Enough) motto.

Here’s the photos we promised you…

Nice to see the old Umbro diamond logo back in full swing.

As it happens, the new training kit is bloody handsome fare too…

Overall we’re left wondering why Umbro couldn’t do something like that with the kit itself. A little stylistic flourish here; a distinct bit of detailing there – something to stand it out from the norm.

What’s your verdict Pies/Everton fans?

New kit is very plain. Not bad, but just … plain. I really liked that off-yellow away kit from a few years back.

  2. Sultan says:

    Anything different from current versions?

  3. Rob says:

I thought it was great until I saw the players with their shirts tucked in, look at the stripe on the top of the shorts, oh dear

  4. Mr Sensible says:

“Nice to see the old Umbro diamond logo back in full swing.”

It’s been back for years hasn’t it? Last time it wasn’t there was in the late 90s. Or do you mean along side the lowercase ‘umbro’?

  5. Jimmy the Tiger says:

Yeah, training kit definitely the best of the lot.

  6. Mike says:

Ugh, the stripe on those shorts. Horrible.

  7. marc says:

It’s a football kit not a fashion show, who cares about stripes or whatever ???? It’s makes no difference to the performance on the pitch at all

  8. Terry Shedingham says:

I like the band at the top of the shorts and hope to see more cummerbund-esque kit designs in the future.
