Joining contemporaries Andres Iniesta and Andrea Pirlo, Gianluigi Buffon has lent his name to a new range of wine.

The snappy red is being knocked out by the good people at Fabio Cordella wines, who also produce a special line of grape juice with Wesley Sneijder’s name on the bottle.

Buffon’s signature wine isn’t available to purchase quite yet, but the Juventus goalkeeper unveiled the project on Facebook today.

We can only assume it’s an fresh, evergreen red with hints of cigarette smoke that still goes down well despite it’s vintage.

  1. Jarren says:

Does he pick the grapes himself? Does he knead them in a wooden barrel with his bare feet? Does he trial the wine pre-production to get the balance of flavour correct?

Or does he just agree for his name to be stuck on the bottle?
