Napoli are asking their fans to use Tinder to wish striker Arek Milik all the best as he continues to return to full fitness after suffering a ruptured cruciate knee ligament back in October.
On the flimsy premise that Milik is “back in the game”, the Serie A club are promoting their new commercial partnership with the dating app by allowing fans to ‘swipe right’ on the Polish striker’s profile in order to send him supportive messages directly.
The upshot is that, in two weeks’ time, Milik will then choose his four favourite interactions and invite the fans responsible to meet him in person (sex is presumably optional)…
Dear fans, I’m back in the game! Send me your welcome back message, my favorite’s will get the chance to meet me out on the pitch. pic.twitter.com/EN5S0wcmFP

Speaking to the Napoli club website, Milik waffled:
I’m really proud to be part of this unique and innovative initiative with Tinder.
The fans here have always given me a warm welcome and it’s really amazing to be able to interact with them directly.
Technology brings people together, just like sports, and I look forward to starting this new adventure.
Pies and Milik aren’t officially an item quite yet, but if there’s one thing we already know about our boo it’s that he can’t wink and give a thumbs-up properly at the same time…
