Hoffenheim kept up their impressive start to the Bundesliga campaign with a 3-2 away win over Mainz on Wednesday evening.
After going 2-0 to a couple of early goals, Nadiem Amiri pulled one back for 1899 on the half-hour mark before a couple of injury time strikes (one in the 46th minute, one in the 92nd) saw the visitors escape with all three points in dramatic fashion.
After the final whistle, a Hoffenheim fan apparently sharing Amiri’s Afghan heritage came clambering onto the pitch and pleaded with the attacking midfielder for a special souvenir to back with him.
Amiri duly handed over his sweat-infused jersey, only for the encroaching supporter to suffer a rather embarrassing mishap as he ran back to the stands…
When you’re so elated that you’ve got a shirt you forget there are hoardings… 😂🙈 pic.twitter.com/Q6kzC5VOoz

Remember kids: Advertising hoardings are always at least a couple of inches higher than you think they are.
