There was a little divine retribution on show shortly after West Ham’s resolute 3-2 win over Tottenham in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday evening.
After dragging themselves back from 2-0 down and holding on for the victory, Hammers captain Mark Noble made his way over to the away section at Wembley to celebrate.
Spotting a young fan applauding in the front row, Noble attempted to chuck his shirt to the kid as a special souvenir.
It was at this point that the fully-grown supporter next to the child attempted to stage his cunning coup by stealing in to intercept Noble’s shirt.
Thankfully, karma was on hand to sort the whole thing out there and then…

The good thing is that the grabby fan got his immediate comeuppance. The unfortunate thing is that the similarly-greedy adult supporter two seats down seemed to get away with Noble’s jersey.
Oh well, you can’t win ’em all.
