Having officially bested the record last weekend, Marek Hamsik rattled in the only goal of the game against Crotone on Friday evening to move further beyond Diego Maradona as Napoli’s all-time top goalscorer.
Hamsik surpassed Maradona’s long-standing tally by prodding home the winner in Napoli’s 3-2 victory over Sampdoria last Saturday.
For their next outing, the Partenopei decided to pay homage to their new record scorer by adding a special badge to their shirt especially for the Crotone fixture…

Rather pleasingly (from a numerical perspective), Hamsik’s decisive strike then came in the 17th minute as Napoli’s erstwhile No.17 scored his 117th goal for the club in the final game of 2017.
The win was enough to extend Napoli’s lead at the top of Serie A to four points, though second-place Juventus still have a game in hand with which to make a dent in the deficit.
