O’Higgins debuted a daring new kit for the start of the Chilean Primera Division season on Sunday, taking to the pitch against Huachipato in a stylish rose pink ensemble.
However, more notable were the numbers on the back of the O’Higgins strip, which were made to look like french fries dipped in ketchup to herald the club’s corporate buddy-up with McDonalds.
La camiseta de O’Higgins con números de papas fritas con ketchup debe ser lo más ordinario que han tenido desde ponerle mayonesa celeste a los completos cuando salieron campeones. pic.twitter.com/7GS5QC93Fb

Excellent. Completely illegible.
O’Higgins went on to lose 2-1 against a team who actually have the word ‘chip’ in their name. Guess that’s just the universe’s way of equalling things out.
Many thanks to Pies fan @gmundaca for the tip-off!
