Wigan Athletic Launch New Away Kit For 2010-11 … At Last

MOST teams launch new kits before the start of the season. Not Wigan, who wanted to wait until they conceded ten goals in the league.

Anyway, here’s a peek at the Latics’ new away kit, in the hands of new signing Steven Caldwell (a ginger Scot! Whatever next):

From Wigan’s website:

“Latics players will wear the brand new 2010-11 MiFit all black away kit in tonight’s Carling Cup 2nd Round game against Hartlepool United, and will be available for supporters to purchase from next Tuesday, August 31.

“Latics boss Roberto Manager is a big fan of it already, saying ‘it’s very stylish looking, a great design and I’m sure our fans will like it.’”

Yes, they did call him Roberto Manager. Brilliant. Is he related to this man, I wonder?

The screengrab, for posterity:
