Looks like it’s (slightly thicker) black and white stripes for the Toon again next season – but with some dodgy little neck flaps tacked on this time around…

What do you Geordies out there make of Puma’s blocky new design?

Reckon it’s just plum dandy? Or are you, as one of TSC’s readers put it, offended by the ‘extra touch of absurdity that surpasses the level of being unpresentable’?

Judging from this article, we seem to have a reputation as a club for whom absolutely nothing is good enough. This is most certainly not the case.

The design is great, it’s original for the club. Really high quality stuff from the people at puma.

@Tinez: Damn you got in there quick! The ‘gold with purple hearts’ thing was only the draft title – which I published by mistake for about 5 seconds!

  3. Andrew Thompson says:

not sure about it, I think sometimes “leaked” photos are released to get a reaction off fans and then the manufacturers could do back to the drawing board.

4 home strips in 4 years is a bit of a joke aswell

i see some real crappy leaked kits that end up happening.reckon that’s what they should do though.

Only Newcastle can make black vertical stripes non-slimming. The real victim here is Sol.

  8. alistair says:

check out the real stripes of a magpie, the kit mimics it perfectly, with the white sleeves as the white tips of the wings. i think it’s brilliant

  9. Montesquieu says:

Puma kits have been shit for a very long time, this one is not an exception.

Anyway I think the collar, is some sort of attempt at a built-in snood…

  10. Fred says:

This one is awful, might as well just keep the current one for the next year and hope they go back to adidas !

  11. Chicha Rita says:

There’s a crucifix in the middle of the shirt! Intentional or Coincidental? Perhaps Newcastle has a heavenly new sponsor this year?

  12. Jetsin says:

That’s cleared my thoughts. Thanks for cnrotiubting.
