AC Milan Reveal New Home Kit – The Stripes Are Very Thin (With Photos)

By Chris Wright

You may be glad to know that Pies have come into possession of a few snaps from the launch of the new Adidas home strip that AC Milan will be wearing as of next season – as can be seen here being modelled by the lovely Mark van Bommel, Clarence Seedorf and Luca Antonini

Notice, if you will, the thin-ness of the stripes…

Not bad is it? Though we can’t help but feel that the trim (around the neck and arms) may have looked a tad more svelte if it were black – just a thought.

According to the official blurb, the new Milan kit is a throw-back to their first few strips of the 20th century and the stripes on the Rossoneri’s new shirt are 2cm in width – pared down from the 9cm stripes seen this season – with 21 stripes in total, 11 of which are black and 9 are red.

Fascinating stuff – though we can’t help but wonder what colour the one remaining stripe is. A see-through strip across the nipples maybe?

Apparently, there is also some tri-dimensional hoo-doo built into the fabric that will increase the players’ energy by a ridiculously precise 5.3%, their jumping ability by 4%, their speed by 1.1% and their resistance by 0.8%.

The more resistance the better as far as Pies are concerned.

So, the question goes out: Like or no like?

Stripes are far too thin, though I can see what they’re trying to do, replicate the finest shirt from the last 20 yrs.

Do we find that that Milan management are weak in math?
Does that explain cases like Emerson?
    Just wondering.
    Anyway, i love the kit.
