As we’ve seen before here on Pies, Umbro’s hook-up with the soon-to-be-revived New York Cosmos has produced some pretty natty garb to date, so you’ll be glad to know that their new ‘Blackout’ collection is ploughing a similar furrow.

The limited edition Blackout line has been designed to commemorate the day that Brazilian legend Carlos Alberto signed with the Cosmos back on July 13th, 1977, which also happened to be the day of the infamous New York City blackout…

Here’s a run-through of the collection, starting with the actual ‘Blackout’ Cosmos jersey…

Polo shirt…

T-Shirt…

Track jacket…

And last but not least, the ‘anthem’ jacket…

As with Brazil’s all-black limited edition kit before it, we absolutely love this new Cosmos line. We appreciate that there’s a fine line between ‘subtle’ and ‘nothing’, but we reckon Umbro have just about got it right here – the anthem jacket is going straight on the wanted list.

What say you folks? Which side of the line are you gravitating towards?
