Puma held a bit of a bash at the Design Museum in London last night to formally unveil their latest nine creations for next January’s African Cup of Nations – there were originally supposed to be ten on display, though Algeria’s kit was omitted after they failed to qualify for the competition.

Anyway, the new strips have all been co-designed by artists from each respective country, presumably in a bid to offer Africa’s artistic talent a bit of a platform and to avoid the bland one-design-for-all dilemma that has been prevalent at the last few tournaments.

There’s a good old-fashioned dousing of your traditional African fare (lions/’ethnic’ motifs, etc) but done with a damn-sight more panache than the last few waves of African kits…

Some smashers in there, though we’ve got a hankering for Namibia’s. Any favourites Pies fans?
