Ronaldo is reportedly on the verge of purchasing his very own football club in the shape of Spanish side Real Valladolid.

According to MARCA, the 41-year-old Brazilian has held “advanced conversations” over a proposed €30million buy-out.

As such, Ronaldo would become principle shareholder at the Blanquivioleta and also take over as president, leaving the club’s current chief executive Carlos Suarez to carry on in his role.

Valladolid have been subject to several offers over the past few months, with Mexican businessman Ernesto Tinajero coming close to wrapping up a deal at one point before bailing out due to ongoing disputes among several existing shareholders.

Since retiring from football in 2010, Ronaldo has pursued a business career and studied sports marketing while openly flirted with idea of buying his own football club.

Indeed, he openly mused that he was interested in investing in a Championship side back in January, in the hope of doing something “innovative” in the English second tier.

Rotherham must be a little disappointed.

“Nazario” to make it clear? As if there has been other Ronaldos linked to that name. ;-)

Fantastic player… but, seeing him a lot on brazilian Tv…. he is a little bit dumb, believe me.
