Yep, I just watched Barcelona crush – I mean CRUSH, humiliate, embarrass – Real Madrid 6-2 at the Bernabeu, in what must rank as the most entertaining game of the season in Europe. The result all but ensures that Barca will win La Liga, and deservedly so.
Lionel Messi, Xavi and Andres Iniesta were scorchingly good, although Real Madrid’s defence was shockingly bad. Hiddink will certainly have watched the game, and he may now be tempted to park the bus again at the Bridge and hope for penalties. Because if Chelsea play a more open game, Barcelona will cut them to pieces.
