Does exactly what is says on the tin; The top 100 goals of 2011 all tethered together in a neat little video package. You may well disagree with the ordering, but it’s best to enjoy it for what it is – a thorough retrospective of a great year for great goals…

Great video. No.52 is my favourite. Is Messi the only player to feature twice? Also didn’t seen Rooney’s bicycle kick…was that at the end of 2010 then?

  2. Michael says:

A superb collection of goals. It seems 2011 was a popular year for the bicycle kick. Forgetton how many there were. Love the cheekiness of goals no 29 and 30. Soundtrack was good too, normally they let videos like this down but not this time.

@ Col – Cristiano Ronaldo featured twice in the 70’s (72 and 77 I think).

  3. and what says:

My favourite is Eric Hassli’s; the most-unstoppable-shot of the lot. kudos to the creator and for the spot.

  4. js94 says:

Personally I think Neymar’s should have been higher and I would include Dirk Kuyt’s goal vs Man Utd but only because of Suarez’s skill

  5. js94 says:

I would put Neymar’s higher and include Kuyt’s goal but only because of Suarez.

  6. jara says:

    urbano features twice too?

  7. Applesauce says:

It’s an exercise in futility to try to rank 100 goals in any kind of objective manner. Just take the video as 100 awesome goals and stop arguing that this one was better than the last.

Thank you Thank you for posting this!!

    Honestly, 16 glorious minutes!

Good to see Fredy Guarin’s Scrrrreamer at 17, I have a thing for that goal

  9. Del says:

Awesome production! This is why we love football. ;-)

  10. Luke says:

I haven’t watched it all, but is Eren Derdiyok’s beauty in there?

  11. #89 Elano – Did that swerve BOTH ways?
#52 River Plate – Like watching Barcelona
#41 Eric Hassli – Was and always will be my #1

It also appears that Rapid Wien are the best team in the world at clever set pieces.

If anyone can tell me what ground is featured in goal #20, I would be much appreciated.

  12. Alan says:

    @Luke – Yea..#14

  13. briank says:

@ Col. Didn’t you watch the video mate? C.Ronaldo and Juninho Pernambucano featured twice, and Rooney’s is in at 5#

  14. Piroman says:

I`m a little disappointed that this goal:

didn’t make it for top 100, what you guys think ?

  15. Michael says:

@ Ashley Watkinson – Goal #20 is Braga – was from a Europa League game. Think England played there once in Euro 2000 (that seems a while ago now!)
