1 Dimitar Berbatov, West Ham v Spurs
A lovely, lovely free-kick from one of the Prem’s most stylish forwards. Even Paul ‘Kryten’ Konchesky couldn’t use his massive Skeletor head to keep it out of the net.

2 Teemu Tainio, West Ham v Spurs
Beautiful cushioned flick from Aaron Lennon to set up Tainio.

3 Didier Drogba, Portsmouth v Chelsea
The Drog made this very difficult strike look easy. The clinical finish of a striker at the top his game.

4 Carlos Tevez, West Ham v Spurs
Not as good a free-kick as Berbatov’s, but still very impressive – not quite as impressive as his crazed goal celebration though.

5 Luke Young, Watford v Charlton
A great overlapping run and cool finish (third goal in the video clip).

  1. Dan says:

Robinson’s positioning for the Tevez and Zamora goals anyone?!

  2. Col says:

Thought Drog was lucky to get that in. Looks like he miss hits it! I would have given no 1 to Lennon/Tainio though.

  3. Ollie, Pies Ed. says:

I thought Robinson should have done better for Tevez’s free-kick (dipping but still central), although Zamora’s header was well-directed from a great dead ball cross.

  4. Dan says:

Yeah it was a good header, no question, but Robinson wasn’t unsighted and it was nowhere near the corner of the goal. When he dived throughout the game he seemed to dive vertically rather than horizontally

  5. Ollie, Pies Ed. says:

Yes, I think Van der Sar or Cech would have saved at least one of West Ham’s goals. Robinson is not athletic enough to be one of the world’s best keepers.

  6. Dom says:

Shame McCarthy’s goal against Arsenal in the FA Cup doesn’t count. Blinder.
