This is the PFA Premier League Team of the Year (in what looks like a 4-4-2 formation): Joe Hart, Branislav Ivanovic, Thomas Vermaelen, Richard Dunne, Patrice Evra, Cesc Fabregas, James Milner, Darren Fletcher, Antonio Valencia, Wayne Rooney, Didier Drogba.

And here is the Who Ate All The Pies Premier League Team of the Year (also in 4-4-2). Spot the difference…

Joe Hart - Well on his way to becoming England's No.1 and should keep the jersey for a very long time. He's the best young English keeper I've seen in many years.

So, pretty close to the PFA selection, with only a couple of changes: Frank Lampard in for Darren Fletcher (sorry Fletch), Florent Malouda in for Antonio Valencia.

Now let’s have your XIs…

why do people keep going on about bale. He didnt even start the 1st half of the season and although hes been good when starting hes not been good enough. Also how in earth did fletcher get in, hes not great and has got nothin on lampard. He was probably no better than any of the other man u midfielders. The same could be said about valencia. The pfa team of the year is always biased to man u even though only rooney has been a standout.

Goalkeepers: Reina and Gomes have been excelllent but I would go with Gomes.Reina has been inconsistent. And Hart will be an understudy to Gomes. He’s good but too unexperienced.

Defenders: Hard to choose. On the left I would go for Sagna, just going past Glen Johnson. Then it would be Vermaeleen, no doubt. He has been excellent. Next, a surpriser, Nadir Belhadj. Although at failing Pompey, he is an excellent centre back with a great sense to move to attack. On the right, it would be Evra. He is very consistent this season.

Midfielders:First, Milner. Few would argue. This young player has impressed many this season. Fabregas in the centre. I would say hes the best midfielder this season. He pulled up many vital goals for Arsenal and aided in many. Lampard would assist him in the centre too. Although not his best season, he is a force to be reckoned with, pushing in some 21 goals already. At right midfield, I would choose Nasri. A man of few words. But he has pulled off brilliant displays against Porto and Sunderland, covering up for Fabregas in the centre.

Forwards: Drogba. He is a threathening force in front of goal this sesason. And of course, the great Wayne Rooney! No doubt the player of the year this year slotting home above 40 goals this season alone.

Subs: Hart, he is good but too young. Dunne, very impressive for him, but just behind Belhadj. Malouda, he scored lots of vital goals for Chelsea.Gerrard, starting to perform, but too late to get into the starting XI. Mascherano, just starting to pick up his pace, but his chance of making the XI withered away in the beginning of the year. Bendtner, very impressive replacement for Arshavin, popping in more goals than appearances.

That’s my Team of the Season

obviously fletcher and valencia got into it because they performed well, who do we listen to you who probably didnt watch all the games taking stats down and analyzing them or the F.A that do watch them in all games and does take note of stats? hmmm

  16. gfd says:

i know fletcher and valencia have ben good but the havent been better than lampard and malouda, There are propably many midfielders who could get in. Their mainly in because they play for man u and the team is always biased to them. Also people need to get bale out of their asses. Hes been good but cmon not that good.
