April 1923: The crowd swarms onto the pitch before the first FA Cup Final to be played at the old Wembley Stadium (Bolton beat West Ham). The game is also known as the White Horse Final, because a white horse (pale grey actually) and police rider, PC George Scorey, played a major role in quelling the pitch invaders. You can see the horse, 'Billie', at the heart of the image.
