@Tom Jones — Obviously you didn’t watch the match. I did. Ruddy is NOT a useless goalie. He DID try to save it….but to no avail. Ruddy’s defensive mates made their 3rd mistake mistake of the match and Suarez cashed it in with a VERY impressive goal. My Canaries were not On The Ball…and with Tierney and Whitbread out injured, they’re hurting big time on defense.

Given that it was pouring rain and that he had to back peddle for over twenty yards while keeping his eye on the ball, it’s hard to lay blame on the keeper. I was surprised that he didn’t stumble and trip over himself in those conditions…

I dunno about goal of the season, it’s a bit of an anomoly, as was crouches, give them both the chance to do it again and they never could, I preferred Wigan’s goals when they totally destroyed (my team) Newcastle, but this is England, why on earth would we recognise and reward a good team goal?
Also, he is a terrible bastard but thats not what the article is about, he is very talented, though i hope he leaves soon. I’m not sure if he is racist, he might just be an idiot who said a hurtful thing for the sake of it, but he does bring the tone down of every game he plays in with his attitude.
Great goal but in terms of technique and importance, Crouch’s was better imo.
Plus it was against arguably the best keeper in the league on form and England’s supposed #1.
