What an evening of football that was! Having looked totally in control of their Monday night clash with Crystal Palace, courtesy of three-goal lead, Liverpool collapsed in the last 11 minutes of the game, letting their lead slip away.

Joe Allen had put the title-chasing Reds ahead in the first-half before Daniel Sturridge and then Luis Suarez made the score 3-0 before the hour-mark. However, rather than try to consolidate their lead, Brendan Rodgers’ men kept attacking, only to be caught out by a goal from Damien Delaney on 79 minutes and then a brace from sub Dwight Gayle.

Poor old Luis Suarez was in tears at the final whistle which sees Liverpool now just a point ahead of Man City having played a game more. A massive night in the race for the title as Pulis and co. once again made their mark on the top tier.

I’m a diehard Spurs fan, just can’t help myself it’s in the blood. But I’ve always loved the city of Liverpool and am so sad about them missing out on the title.
They are a credit to the game and it’s one of the reasons we fell in love with the game in the first place. Yes they played as Rodgers said a bit ‘Roy of the Rovers’ but what a` game they and the Palace served up and if there is any justice in this world they will be right up there next season and also have a good tilt at the European Cup.

What a game, and what a great atmosphere.
Hats off to Crystal Palace, they’ve done incredibly well for themselves this season.
