Video: Steven Gerrard Elbows Michael Brown In The Head

By Ollie Irish

Okay, if you’re going to smash any footballer in the back of the head, nasty little Michael Brown – who has plenty of previous – is not a bad choice, but whoever the victim, this was a very dangerous (not to mention thuggish) act by Liverpool’s captain.

Still, it looks like Gerrard will get away with it, as he wasn’t shown even a yellow card by ref Stuart Atwell. Should he get away with it? No, of course not. It’s clearly an assault on Brown.

And you know he’ll get away with it. The bias towards Gerrard in mainstream media is ridiculous. If anyone like Drogba were to have done that we would have had the classic ‘dirty foreigner’ talk, but as it’s Gerrard, who, let’s not forget, has also battered someone in a bar, there’ll be nothing doing. And then there’s the countless dives he does, and yet again when Drog was doing it, it’s the worst thing in the world. I’d be surprised to read about his outside of fansites like this one.

I agree with Bernard.Brown fouled on Gerrard so many times n no yellow card!He did elbow n block Gerrard’s run first.Gerrard only continue his run through Brown.

  5. mareantheone says:

sure you’re right bernard, i’m sure brown also took out a knife. stabbed gerrard 3times before he got elbowed.
how can anyone be so dumb as in to do that on a televised football game? surely he didn’t think no one will see that.

  6. Anonymous says:

show me a game that doesnt contain a number of challenges involving flailing elbows. the only reson anyone gives a #*#* is because it was gerrard. how can anyone be so dumb as in to do, what mate, can you speak english.

  7. kritter says:

what a mug! of course he wasn’t punished. the FA has no testes.

  8. mizman says:

sticking 2 up at the ref, elbowing someone for no reason in the back of the head, countless nasty tackles other players and he never gets punished.

If it was any other player he would be banned for ages and the press would have slaughtered him

  9. syndex says:

gerrard is and always was a nasty player who the Fa thinks is the coming of the new messiah if anyone dares to challenge him he reacts with more theatrics than thin ronaldo and Drogba in the premier league amateur dramatics society production of the widow twanky. The way he screaches for cards from ref for opposition players is disgusting all this and the media loves him and lords him as a role-model to young players.

  10. K says:

    What a scumbag.

  11. paul says:

    hows felaini doing ?

  12. BPM says:

Let’s see the FA decide not to punish him this time!!! They can’t protect their darling players when it comes to attacks like this. Gerrard might as well transfer to Hull, Stoke or Birminham City if he keeps playing like a thug…I say Suspend him for the remainder of the season.

  13. RedCourty says:

Sindex yes you do sound like a bitter BS. Brown got what he deserved he was at it all night and even raised his arm when he tried to Block Stevie G. Well done Lad!!

  15. RedCourty says:

  17. Pedro says:

Gerrard is a cheating cunt… Most Liverpool fans i know can’t even defend him anymore. More than anything, it’s frustration. He plays for a shit team under a shit manager, knowing that he can’t ever leave!! No one can question he’s one of the best players in the world (… Ok, perhaps not this season) but, genuinely, WHAT A CUNT!

  18. [...] not gonna condemn Gerrard for this (this is a different story). I understand his frustration – seventh is quite a long way from first [...]
