With the Capital One Cup last 16 game between Liverpool and Swansea headed for extra-time, defender Federico Fernandez was sent off by ref Keith Stroud for what looked to be a decent and fair challenge.

Mario Balotelli had levelled late on after Marvin Emnes’ opener on 65 minutes but the sending-off at the death of Argentina international Fernandez proved to be the undoing of Swansea.

Dejan Lovren was the goal-hero for the Reds, heading home deep into stoppage time to send the Merseysiders into the quarter-finals of the competition.

However, Swansea players, staff and fans will be livid at Stroud’s decision to send Fernandez off…

Congratulations to Liverpool and good luck.
But there are four worries if you are a supporter –
    1) the inability to score from a multitude of chances as
    2) Rogers comment that it was the best Liverpool have played all season (the first half was about as bad as the Swans have played all season & without 5 usual starters!
    3) a shockingly poor refereeing performance that favoured the home sidle at 11 v 11 Swansea was comfortable.
    4) the behaviour of Balotelli and Borini.

  2. Kingsland101 says:

    Only 4?
    5) Lack of any defensive nous whatsoever
    6) Warrior make your kit
    7) Crap in the league
    8) The worst transfer policy in world football
    9) The fact you support Liverpool
