Crystal Palace 3-1 Liverpool – Premier League – 23rd November 2014

Last season a 3-3 draw at Selhurst Park but paid to Liverpool’s title hopes and this time around, the Reds suffered yet another disappointing result against the Eagles.

Liverpool did open the scoring, when former Southampton duo Adam Lallana and Rickie Lambert combining, with the latter netting after just two minutes. However, the hosts were always a threat and levelled the scores on 17 minutes when Dwight Gayle scored after Yannick Bolasie has hit the post. Liverpool struggled to click into gear for the rest of the game, leaving the Eagles to net two more goals after the break, courtesy of a strike from Joe Ledley and a Mile Jedinak free-kick.

While Neil Warnock’s Palace side go 15th, Brendan Rodger’s struggler drop to 12th, 18 points behind league leaders Chelsea.

Great to see an ex-bee(Bolasie), or two (Puncheon) enjoying there football!

seriously though. That Jedinak free kick was superb.

Any danger of the referee blowing a penalty for liverpools two very good shouts for penalty…even the decision for the freekick goal. Bit dubious to say the least. Brendan Rodgers is within his rights to ask the referee what hes looking at when its like 2-3 metres away.
