Everton 0-0 Liverpool – Premier League – 8th February 2015
A famous derby which has produced so many moments of drama, or at least a red card or two, failed to ignite at Goodison on Saturday, with both sides struggling to shine.
Both suides struggled to create enough decent chances, although Seamus Coleman did go close late on when he forced a fine save from Simon Mignolet. One positive for Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers was the impressive display by youngster Jordan Ibe, recently recalled from a loan spell with Derby County. For the Toffees, new-signing Aaron Lennon made his debut for the club in a cameo appearance but overall neither side deserved to win this damp squib of a clash.
Liverpool are now seventh on 39 points, 12 points and five places ahead of Everton.
