No teary-eyed histrionics from Cristiano, just a firm and frank “good luck with your life”…

That moment when you realise Cristiano Ronaldo has the exact same hair as Phil/Lil from the Rugrats…

  1. Mr Sensible says:

The man gets so much shit because of his ego, horrible clothes and greasy hair but he always comes across as a good human being who shows plenty of respect.

@Mr Sensible – yeah, off the pitch

  3. Murray says:

He’s not even looking into the camera.

Are we SURE he’s not just talking to an off-screen interviewer named “Steve”?

  4. one man went to mow says:

Just checking Stevie Me isn’t dead is he, in fact he hasn’t even retired, he’s just not good enough for top flight football any more and is off for an LA payday. Where are all the plaudits and pagentry for Xavi, a far more succesful, talented and likeable character also doing the same thing (all be it in the Middle East).

  5. Jarren says:

To be fair, Mr. Mow, Gerrard didn’t spend his career with a team who could dominate their league by throwing out half their reserves for every game.

Of course Xavi was more successful. Bendtner would statistically be “more successful” than Gerrard if he had spent his career at Barcelona.

Success is a team effort, and when you play in a league where only 2-3 teams can realistically win it then that success is somewhat dulled.

As a sidenote, I’d like to see Xavi’s new Middle Eastern squad play LA Galaxy.

Let’s see just who’s fallen down the ladder the furthest…

    “Have a good life mate”
