Ten days and counting for Rafa?

According to The Times, Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez has been issued with a ten-day ultimatum by Juventus to throw his hat into the ring for the soon-to-be-vacant managerial post at the Italian side.

Benitez is only 12 months into a five-year contract at Anfield, but Juventus are hoping to capitalise on the Spaniard’s discontent with the Liverpool owner’s lack of financial backing by offering him a much more lucrative transfer budget for next season.

Nameless sources in Italy are circulating rumours that members of both camps were spotted meeting in Turin earlier in the week to discuss the initial details of the deal, but that is most likely to be horse sh*t.

Rafa’s staying at Liverpool – end of.

  2. Mathers says:

I hope so, im enjoying Liverpool’s slide into a mid table team of wannabes.

    Eugene?

  4. yuan says:

fuck off to juventus you idiot rafa!

  5. Mathers says:

    Eugene? Brilliant!

  6. If ever a manager was suited to boring negative Italian football, it is Rafa.

He could play two holding midfielders at home every time and get no stick, even against teams at the bottom of the league.

    His tactics would be perfect.

Did hear this story a few months back and wrote a piece on my blog about it, I think the current Juventus coach is only there til end of the season in a stop gap role.

But I did hear a radio report a from so-called Italian football expert on Wednesday that said Juve are now unlikely to go for Rafa.

Can’t believe the other rumours that Real Madrid want him, imagine that durge being played at the Bernabeu!
