Photos: Liverpool 3-0 West Ham – Zola Not Good Enough

By Ollie Irish

West Ham are fighting for survival but you’d hardly know it, not based on last night’s tepid display at Anfield. The failure of Gianfranco Zola to instil a fighting spirit in his players (bar the exemplary Scott Parker, who doesn’t need to be told, and who was greatly missed) tells me that the Italian is not yet ready to manage at the highest level. Nice guys do get relegated.

For Liverpool, this was a comfortable, workmanlike win, achieved without Fernando Torres. Fourth place is not an option now, so Liverpool fans will have to settle for another Europa League campaign.
