Liverpool secured their second big win in London this season, with Jurgen Klopp’s Reds adding a 2-1 win at Stamford Bridge to their 4-3 opening day win away at Arsenal.

David Luiz made his first appearances for Chelsea in his second stint with the west Londoners. However, the highlight of the game was Jordan Henderson’s goal, with the Liverpool captain producing a sumptuous curling strike which left Blues’ ‘keeper Thibaut Courtois helpless.

A vibrant Liverpool side took the lead on 17 minutes, courtesy of a Dejan Lovren volley. Then, twenty minutes later, the visitors doubled their advantage via Henderson’s outstanding strike…

The Merseysiders went in at the break (deservedly) 2-0 up, but in the second-half Chelsea got themselves back into the game courtesy of a Diego Costa strike.

However, the Reds stood firm to secure an impressive win which sees them with a creditable total of 10 points from their first five top-flight games of the season, which puts them level with Chelsea in the table.

While Kloop will be delighted with yet another metropolitan win, Blues’ boss Antonio Conte will be concerned by his side’s toothless first-half display, particularly on home soil.

Henderson’s been playing too much FIFA!

    Great strike.

Dare I say it, Liverpool look like they could be a top 4 team this season.

Still far too early to predict anything, but if Klopp can keep building that team spirit I don’t see why not.
