Daniel Sturridge netted his 100th goal in club football as Liverpool produced a potent second-half display to beat Huddersfield 3-0 at Anfield
The first-half was disappointing, with the host failing to provide an attacking threat.
Mohamed Salah did have a chance to open the scoring for the Reds from the penalty spot, after Tommy Smith had fouled Roberto Firmino.
However, the Egyptian saw his spot-kick saved by Jonas Lossl.

After the break, the hosts improved, with Sturridge lifting the ball over Lossl to register his 100th goal in club football.
Just before the hour-mark, the Merseysiders went 2-0 up, with Firmino heading in from a James Milner corner.
On 75 minutes, Georginio Wijnaldum thumped home to seal all three points for the Reds.
The win, coming after last week’s 4-1 drubbling by Tottenham, sees Jurgen Klopp’s charges go sixth, three points behind Arsenal in fifth.
David Wagner’s Huddersfield find themselves four points behind Liverpool in 11th spot.
