Brighton were well and truly battered by Liverpool at the Amex on Saturday, with the Reds cruising to a 5-1 win against the Premier League new-boys Brighton.
Emre Can, Roberto Firmino (with a brace) and Philippe Coutinho all got on the scoresheet while Glenn Murray converted a spot-kick for the hosts.
However, Liverpool’s fifth and final goal of the game came courtesy of poor old Lewis Dunk, who headed a Coutinho effort into his own net.
That makes it an incredible three own-goals in the Premier League this season for Dunk, with the defender, who has been one of the Seagull’s best players this season, now closing in on an unlikely record for the most own-goals in a Premier League campaign.
3 – Only one player has scored more own-goals in a single Premier League season than Lewis Dunk, who has three already this season (4 for Martin Skrtel in 13/14). Oops.

Plenty of time for the Brighton local to match and even beat ex-Red Skrtel before the end of the season!
