Mohamed Salah scored again as Liverpool secured a deserved 2-0 win at home to Liverpool.
The Reds struggled to break down a disciplined Newcastle side, but the breakthrough eventually came just before the break, with the in-form Salah puttting the finishing touch to an Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain pass,
That goal made it 32 for Salah this season in all competition, just one short of the record for goals scored in a debut season for Liverpool, currently held by Fernando Torres, who netted 33 in 2007/08.
After the break, Liverpool would eventually make it 2-0 on 55 minutes, with Sadio Mané scoring after a superb team move.
That goal was the 200th Liverpool have managed in the league under Jurgen Klopp.
200 – Sadio Mané’s goal was the 200th that Liverpool have scored in the Premier League under Jürgen Klopp. Since he was appointed, only Man City (214) have scored more often in the competition. Exciting. pic.twitter.com/uBFXMpplaO
