Liverpool topped off a terrific week with yet another impressive victory, this time at home to Bournemouth on Saturday.

Buoyed by their progression to the Champions League semi-finals after dispatching of Manchester City in midweek, the Reds were at their effervescent best against the Cherries.

It took only seven minutes for the hosts to open the scoring, with Sadio Mané netting at the second time of asking after his header was saved by Asmir Begovic.

Bournemouth failed to carry a goal threat throughout, with Jermain Defoe isolated in attack.

Liverpool would double their lead on 69 minutes, with Mo Salah (of course) netted his 40th goal of the season via a clever header over Begovic after a fine pass from Trent Alexander-Arnold.

A third would come for Merseysiders, with Roberto Firmino getting in on the act by firing inside the post.

The deserved win sees Jurgen Klopp’s in-form side go three points clear of Tottenham in third place, with a very winnable Champions League semi to come.
