WSL champions Chelsea rounded off an ‘Invincible’ season on Sunday, with Emma Hayes’ side coming from 2-0 down to beat Liverpool on Merseyside.
Liverpool took the lead in the first minute, courtesy of Jess Clarke’s close-range finish.
The hosts doubled their advantage soon after, courtesy of winger Niamh Charles.
The Blues looked to be heading for their first league defeat when, with 20 minutes to go, Eni Aluko got one back in her last game for the west Londoners.
South Korean international Ji So-yun then put Chelsea level via a fine volley.
There was still time for Ji to complete the comeback, this time courtesy of a curling effort which would win the game for the league champions.
The hard-fought victory sees Chelsea end the season unbeaten, with 13 wins and five draws from their 18 WSL games helping them to the title.
