Liverpool have issued a positive update on the condition of Naby Keita after the midfielder was ferried off the pitch on a stretcher during Wednesday night’s 1-0 defeat against Napoli in the Champions League.
Keita looked distressed when he was taken off with just 20 minutes gone, complaining of ‘severe back pain’ before being whisked to the Fuorigrotta hospital close to the Stadio San Paolo to get checked over.
Di Marzio even reported that the 23-year-old underwent cardiac assessments when he reached the hospital, but all came back negative.
However, it has since been confirmed that Keita did indeed have some form of back problem – and not a particularly serious one either, as it’s being mooted that the Guinean could be fit to play against Man City this coming Sunday.

Makes you wonder what all the fuss was about, really.
