Liverpool Crisis Worsens: Dirk Kuyt Has Serious Ankle Injury

By Ollie Irish

Holland gaffer Bert van Marwijk fears Dirk Kuyt could face a long spell in the physion room after the Liverpool player picked up an ankle injury in the 4-1 win over Sweden.

Kuyt lasted just 28 minutes of the Euro 2012 qualifier and was taken to hospital in an ambulance with what looked a serious injury.

Van Marwijk has yet to receive a full diagnosis but admitted: “It does not look good.”

What next for crisis-hit Liverpool? Gerrard’s head falls off? Torres falls down a well? Tough times at Anfield, and still no High Court ruling by the way.
