"…Thomas charging through the midfield… Thomas… it’s up for grabs nooooow  THOMAAASSS!!!"  Surely these words are tatoo’ed on every single Arsenal fans minds? Has there ever been a better close to a season? Liverpool all set to win the league on goal difference if they could keep the score at Anfield 1-0 to the gunners… then… in the dying seconds someone came charging through the midfield. If you’re an Arsenal fan, and you were there… well… you jammy jammy sod.

    A classic moment indeed.
This is also a great example of how the spirit of the game has changed over the last 10-20 years into that ugly farce at the nou camp last night. Barnes picked up the ball in injury time with the league title in the bag, and trys to beat the defender, and cut inside. These days a player would run to the corner flag and try to run down the clock.
Is football better for something Aidy Boothroyd would call “managing the game”? Hmmm dunno. Liverpool fans would probably say in that case it would be justified.

Now that you have finished the top 100 premiership players how about the top 100 footballing moments. This would obviously be straigh in at number one.
