While the Europeans were getting close to the end of their Euro 2012 qualifying adventures, across the Atlantic, the South Americans were only just kicking off their World Cup qualifying campaign.

In a six-goal thriller in a rainy Montevideo, buck-toothed assassin Luis Suarez got foxy in the box(y) to open the scoring in the fourth minute. Lunatic hardman Diego Lugano bagged himself a brace while the elegant Edinson Cavani also scored for La Celeste. Rudy Cardozo and Marcelo Martins (once of Wigan Athletic) scored the goals for the visitors.

The commentary has the expected “Goooaaallll” malarkey, although this time it is backed by a piece of rubbish music.

Suarez, the more we hate him the better he plays…that little diving twunt.

  4. Ash says:

I’m glad Suarez is getting all this abuse. Just like Ronaldo when he first came to England.

Green doesn’t suit all you guys…

  5. JJ says:

I’m with Ash. He’s like Ronaldo in more ways than one, too. Most footballers with this kind of talent (Nani, Van Persie, Berbatov, Torres etc) will just coast on their natural gift. Suarez, like Ronaldo, is one of those players with a psychotic desire to be the best, and will always work harder than the rest to get there.

This is one thing, beating Bolivia IN Bolivia is another… Lets see how Squarez does then…

  7. lawrence says:

to Redskywalker: don’t hate. Uruguay is the best national “team” in(south, central and north) America. La Paz’ altitute is all Bolivians got. There is no horse-racing in La Paz… care to know why? A: Cuz the horses die after the race, so YOU play there and see how YOU do.
