By Chris Wright

Real Madrid have just posted the mock-ups drawn up by German architects GMP for the planned £330million revamp of their Bernabeu stadium, and very impressive they are too – aside from the fact that it looks ever so slightly like something out of the Tupperware catalogue…

Barca and Real seem to unveil plans for stadium revamps almost as often as Liverpool do these days.

The photo with the projection on the side makes it look pretty slick though.

As a Madrid fan, I can say that some of the things they propose are pretty cool. Supposedly will have a 360 deg screen around the edge of a retractable roof. That being said, I wish they wouldn’t have made the outside such an eyesore. This was my first impression: http://www.techfresh.net/wp-content/uploads/2013/01/Freecom-4TB-Hard-Drive-Sq-USB-3.0-External-Hard-Drive.jpg

Also, a shopping mall and hotel? Business-wise I can see where they are coming from, but at the end of the day it’s still just a stadium FFS… but that’s Florentino Perez for you. He’d remove the pitch altogether to make room for a $500 million dollar landing strip for Arab execs to fly in.

Looks like a George Foreman grilling machine. And they paid money for that design?

    it the I’ve ever seen

You should see the size of the bread.
