After coming through a behind-closed doors training match last week, Carlos Tevez made his competitive and public Man City return with the reserv…. sorry, the ‘Elite Development Squad’ in a game against Bolton in the Manchester Senior Cup last night following his five month jaunt in limboville.
Half a stone lighter than he was this time a fortnight ago, Tevez started and had a smidge-over-an-hour-long run out, scoring once – though opting not to kiss the badge – and handing his shirt over to a fan at half-time, before coming off in the 66th minute for Roberto Mancini’s son Filippo…
Tevez is now expected to travel with the City reserv…. sorry, the ‘Elite Development Squad’ for a friendly against NEC Nijmegen in Holland next week and word is he’s also been pencilled in to resume first-team duties against Chelsea on March 19th.
Glory be.
