Join Us On A Fly-Through Virtual Tour Of Man City’s New £100m Youth Academy Complex (Video)
By Chris Wright
With work about to start on Manchester City’s new £100 million, 80-acre academy training complex on the vacant swathes of industrial wasteland next to the Etihad (we assume that the one irked Man Utd fan who was refusing to flog his HGV yard has finally agreed to sell up?), the club have produced a fly-through virtual tour of their plans – which include a 7,000-seater stadium, 15 full-sized pitches and something known as an ‘Elite Player Fitness Trail’ – which we can only assume is one of these things…
Feel free to gently hum ‘A Whole New World’ to yourself as you sit and watch it…
(Unfortunately the damn thing won’t embed, so you’re going to have to venture forth from the safe confines of Pies and watch the video here.)

Why would they spend that kind of money, they’ll end up buying talent anyway. Haaadooosshh!
@The Ostrich Heeeeyoooooooooo!!!
It looks nice and I’m sure it’ll serve City well buy 99% of it is just a bunch of football pitches. It’s basically a smaller Hackney marshes with that building in the middle which I can’t imagine costs anywhere near £100m.
lets just hope there will be some fine english players of the future come out of that , u know, so the national team would sucks less…?
