Football GIF: Gareth Barry Bizarrely Composed Own-Goal In Man City Defeat At Southampton

By Alan Duffy

Not sure quite what Gareth Barry was trying to do here – pass it back to Joe Hart, knock it out for a corner? Poor old Barry had already made an error for Southampton’s first goal, but this OG after the break is odd to say the least.

Enjoy…

What a cool finish though. Calmly slotted into the corner. And refuses to celebrate out of loyalty. Class all around.

He’s a left footed footballer that only uses his right leg to stand on. completely crap in all the other areas as well, but still one of england’s top 5 midfielders. brilliant.

Looks to me like he tried to cushion it back to Hart, but when you`ve got a custard pie for a right foot this happens! I suppose with Mario gone someone has to play the fool each week instead.
