Reading 0-2 Manchester City – Premier League – 14th May 2013

Soccer - Barclays Premier League - Reading v Manchester City - Madejski Stadium

Brian Kidd may not rock a scarf as elegantly as Roberto Mancini, but the Man City stand-in boss did oversee a comfortable 2-0 win at the Madejski on Tuesday night.

Sergio Aguero bagged the opener on 40 minutes with Edin Dzeko making it 2-0 just before the end. The win was well deserved as the Citizens bossed the game, with Royals’ glovesman Alex McCarthy doing well to limit the damage to just two.

So Reading prepare for life back in the second tier while the Citizens prepare for what will, no doubt, be a rather intriguing summer.
