Manchester City 3-0 Swansea City – Premier League – 1st December 2013
A fine free-kick from Alvaro Negredo along with a brace from the rejuvinated Samir Nasri secured a comfortable win for Man City on Sunday. However, City’s opponents Swansea played with authority for large periods of the game but just couldn’t find a cutting edge.
Negredo’s curled free-kick came on eight minutes but in the first-half, the Swans created a number of chances with Jonjo Shlevey amongest other going close. Indeed, ‘keeper Costel Pantilimon , back in for Joe Hart, made a number of excellent saves to keep out the visitors.
After the break, the Citizens started to dominate, with Sergio Aguero going close before Nasri, now looking back to his best, bagged a brace to seal the deal for Manuel Pellegrini’s men.
