We haven’t stopped harping on about it all month but, as you no doubt are equally unable to erase from your waking nightmares, Aleksandar Kolarov gave one of the most terse, challenging and eerily spartan reading of Jingle Bells ever committed to film as part of Manchester City’s Youtube advent calendar.
Gluttons for punishment, all December we’ve waited to see if the City full-back was going to reprise his magnum opus for 2013’s advent season and, just two days before the big one, he’s been let loose – demanding a back-drop of thunderclouds, wolves and billowing Serbian flags before embarking on a suitably menacing rendition of ‘Santa Claus Is Coming Town’ – which has never, at least to the best of our knowledge, sounded so threatening…
